"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. I hold that the more helpless a creature, the more entitled it is to protection by man from the cruelty of man"

Helping the Domestic Animals of Fayette County and the People who Care About Them
The Fayette County Humane Society is a non-profit volunteer organization whose mission is to prevent cruelty to all domestic animals in Fayette County, Ohio, and to provide humane care and treatment to all domestic animals in need of protection.  This is accomplished through the enforcement of humane laws, the provision of emergency care, education, and assistance with the necessities of care.  We strive to eliminate euthanasia as a means of pet population control through education, sterilization programs and adoptions.
